1. Creating a table with headers
To begin, we first need to create the heading columns of the dataset that we want for our form.
- Select the number of cells that are equal to the number of headings of your table.
- Press CTRL + T on your keyboard.
- Hit OK to create a table, or
- Go to the Insert tab and select Table under the Tables section.
- Hit OK to create a table.

2. Creating a Forms tab in Excel
- Rename the headers as you like.
- Select all the headers of the table.
- Go to the File tab, select Options at the left.
- Once the Excel Options window opens, go to Customize Ribbon.
- Select All commands under Choose commands from: options.
- Select Form… from the list below.
- Now, click the New Tab button under Main Tabs.
- Rename the new tab to “Form” or whatever you like by clicking the Rename button.
- Now, select New Group (Custom) and click the Add button in the middle of the window.
- Hit OK to proceed.

3. Using Forms for data entry
- Select a cell in your table created earlier and click the newly generated Form button under the Form tab.
- A new window opens showing all headers of your table in the form.

3. Deleting an entry
To delete an entry from the table-
- Select any one cell from that entry.
- Go to the Form tab and select Form.
- Press Delete to permanently delete that entry from the table.
4. Deleting the Form tab
Once you are done adding data to the table, you can delete the Form tab from Excel.
To delete the Form tab in Excel-
- Go to the File tab and select Options at the left.
- Once the Excel Options window opens, go to Customize Ribbon.
- Under Main Tabs, select the Form (Custom) tab.
- Press Remove in the middle of the window.
- Hit OK.
You can no longer see the Form tab in Excel as it has been successfully removed.
